History

O.H. Fiskeeksport A/S was founded in 1984 by the company's former CEO, Ole Hatlebakk. The company currently employs between 40 and 70 people and has had strong roots in the Norwegian salmon industry since its inception. As Ole Hatlebakk originally comes from Norway, Norwegian salmon products quickly became the company's primary focus.

On 1 May 2026, O.H. Fiskeeksport A/S was acquired by Kaj Schlie, who is currently serving as chairman of the board. In connection with the change of ownership, Mads Lund Madsen was appointed as the company's new director. The vision is to further develop O.H. Fiskeeksport A/S through continued growth, strong collaborations, and the expansion of the product range with new, high-quality salmon products for the market.

The company's philosophy is built on delivering high-quality salmon products at competitive prices combined with a high level of delivery reliability. This is achieved through close cooperation and thorough planning with both customers and suppliers.

Today, the main products consist of salmon and salmon fillets. Freshly slaughtered salmon is delivered almost daily from Norway, the Faroe Islands, and Denmark, with some being resold directly, while the majority is processed into fresh salmon fillets and portioned salmon products. Through a strong network of partners, the company also offers both fresh and frozen salmon products to customers throughout Europe.

Production takes place at the company's own factory in Hirtshals. The factory was commissioned on October 1, 2001, replacing previous facilities that no longer met the company's requirements and development. Today, O.H. Fiskeeksport A/S boasts modern production facilities with a strong focus on quality, hygiene, and food safety. Production naturally follows HACCP principles and is designed with high flexibility to meet customers' diverse needs and requirements.

The company places great importance on experience, stability and consistent quality. The employees have many years of experience with salmon, which ensures professional solutions and high quality at all stages of production.

O.H. Fiskeeksport A/S currently operates in both domestic sales to the Danish market and exports to large parts of Europe. Daily shipments ensure prompt delivery to both domestic and international customers, where reliability of delivery and flexibility remain among the company's core values.
